Fresh Garden Salsa

I’ve never made salsa before, but boy do I love when it’s homemade. I decided that now is as good of a time as any so I went for it and made my own salsa from scratch. I used veggies from the garden and really didn’t use an exact recipe. I used what I had and taste tested frequently.
I used a little of this and a little of that and created my own concoction. I plan to make a lot more batches in the future because it was absolutely delicious!

The starring role for the Fresh Garden Salsa:

1 green pepper
2 small red onions
4 cloves garlic
several green onions
1 can diced tomatoes, no salt added variety
2 tsp red pepper flakes, add more or less for heat preference
Dash of honey, for sweetness…again, more or less to your liking
salt and pepper

There really is something to be said for using ingredients that you’ve raised yourself, whether that be produce or meat. It’s comforting to know exactly what is going in your body.
