We’ll be home for Christmas….

Yes, we’re still alive and kicking, we’ve just been a little preoccupied with the new development of our upcoming relocation to our old stomping grounds- KANSAS! That’s right, it’s happening. Eric has accepted a new job in Topeka, KS. We’ll be moving to Lawrence next week! Although it’s super exciting to be moving closer to all of the people we love, it means leaving a lot of people wealsolove in Sidney. The overarching feeling regarding the move is- bittersweet. We’ve had our hearts set on moving back to Kansas for a while now, but never thought it would happen so quickly. I’ve shed a lot of tears over the last few weeks and know there’s more to come. We’ll miss our friends in Sidney so much and are infinitely grateful for everything we’ve learned here. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our first chapter as a couple. It’s been quite an adventure!

We thought it would be fun to make a list of our top 10 favorite things about Sidney (in no particular order):

  • The easy-going lifestyle- no traffic, no lines, no waiting
  • Our friends- both old and new 🙂
  • Our neighbors- wow, we couldn’t have asked for better neighbors
  • Cabela’s- the amazing job experience, shopping
  • The Sidney Raider’s Football card- buy one get one free burgers (we love a good deal!)
  • The Goose Pit- thank you for supplying endless hours of Friday night entertainment
  • Dude’s- get your steak for dinner and your booty-shake on after dark
  • Coffee Corner- Friday mornings will never be the same
  • Intramural Sports- go for the gold Cabelas.com!
  • Proximity to the beautiful Rocky Mountains- crisp mountain air only 2 hours away

So long Sidney. Thanks for the memories. We’ll miss you!

Follow us in our next chapter! I’m sure there will be many more adventures to come!

As happy as we are for you guys to move closer to us, I can only imagine how hard it must be to leave Sidney! We’ll miss your friends and neighbors there! You made so many connections in your community and as much as you’ll miss them, they’ll miss you.
We’re looking forward to your next chapter together in Kansas. The best of luck and love to you both!!
